RJD Productions Entertainment Division was created by two filmmakers who are embracing the new the world of distribution and encouraging filmmakers to do so as well. By creating (themed) compilations of short films, we are taking them off the shelves and/or hard-drives and making them available for new audiences to discover all the while allowing filmmakers to retain the rights to their films.
RJD Productions can provide filmmakers and their shorts, if selected with the following:
Compilations give audiences an opportunity to experience a full entertainment experience, encouraging film lovers to explore further than they might otherwise if they just watched one film.
Each compilation will include a section with information about the filmmakers. Thus, audiences will be able to learn more about you and where they can view other work you have done. We will provide the audiences with a short bio about you and your work, as well as a link to your website.
Each filmmaker will be given a code. When DVD sales are made using this code, the filmmaker who drove the sale will receive 50% of the profit from that sale. Thus, each filmmaker has the chance to create a significant profit from the DVD sales.
In addition, for compilation sales not driven by a specific filmmaker, all filmmakers will share a portion of the profits (see license and distribution agreement for details).
In the new world of film distribution there are many channels to reach new audiences. While we will continuously seek opportunities to exploit these channels, you are able to find them on your own since you retain the rights to your film. (see license and distribution agreement for details).
We are tired of companies that don’t return calls / emails and lack follow-up skills. If you contact us with a question, we will respond.
As we grow, we will create opportunities for filmmakers to network with one another via planned events and via the website and blog. Also, there will be opportunities for the community to collaborate with RJD Productions to create marketing and PR campaigns.
For more specific information on all of the above topics, please read our submission form as well as the license and distribution agreement.
